How to Keep Our Lungs Healthy

If we want to improve the quality and longevity of our lives then we need to have a healthy body. The health of the lungs is very important and should be given our utmost attention as they perform a lot of critical functions of our body.

The primary function of the lungs is supplying oxygen to our body but in addition to this it also protects our body from pollution and various infections. Therefore the health of the lungs is very important and we should take all the necessary steps to keep our lungs fit and functioning. The first thing we need to do is make sure we avoid smoking at all cost because smoking is one of the most common causes of lung cancer. If we quit smoking and also protect ourselves from second hand smoke then not only can we significantly reduce our chances of getting lung cancer but we can also help our lungs function more efficiently and effectively. Exercise is very important for our overall health and wellbeing. Cardiovascular exercises like swimming, running and jogging can also improve the functioning of our lungs.

Green tea is also a great way to improve the health of our lungs as it is rich in antioxidants and has antibacterial and anti-cancerous properties. So we should try and add a cup of green tea in our daily diet and routine. Drinking plenty of water is also a great way to flush out toxins from our body and can cleanse our lungs from within.
