New CPR app from the Heart and Stroke Foundation

The Heart and Stroke Foundation with the support of Desjardins Insurance is proudly offering a useful online tool that allows access to healthy heart choices. It is a simple and digital Heart & Stroke risk assessment to determine your propensity for heart attack and/or stroke. A 30-day free trial app is available. It also offers a CPR (Call. Push. Restart) “Cardiac Arrest Action Mobile App”. The app is available for free at Google Play (for android enable smart devises) and App store (for windows enable smart devices). The app offers a free tutorial to teach the user how to help someone who may be suffering a cardiac arrest. Beside the easy learning interface, the smart app also offers testing scenarios and various time challenges (with respect to how to handle someone suffering from serious or mild cardiac arrest). The app also offers useful instructions on how to accurately operate the “Automatic External Defibrillator”. As per the survey results conducted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 86% of Canadians indicated they accepted the importance of CPR. But only 30% of cardiac sufferers actually experienced a by-stander CPR. This is often because some individuals feel reluctant to perform CPR due to the poor knowledge, fear of illness, and lack of training which may make the situation worse. The e-tool provides users a rudimentary knowledge of technology as well as a beneficial reminder to call 911. The CPR app is a helpful tool to those who experience any cardiac distress of another and can help to save their life.
